| Turn left just before the disused Wesleyan Chapel then walk up and around the back of the chapel up the hill to where the path diverges keep left d(o not go through the gate) and walk up into the Clwm Cletwr to a footbridge over the stream, after about 700 yards, (map and leg end positions in Nature Reserve are diagrammatic owing to lack of formal survey data) At various points on your left you will see a deep ditch or leet. This led water to a generator which up until about 1953 supplied electricity to the village of Tre'''r-ddl. |
Leg 3: Leg distance .0.7 mile(s) Start of leg GR: SN664920
| Cross the footbridge and turn right to walk pleasantly upstream for about 15 minutes, passing a wooden pedestrian gate on your left, until you come to a narrow path signposted Llwybr serth - Steep path.(map and leg end positions in Nature Reserve are diagrammatic owing to lack of formal survey data) |
Leg 4: Start of leg GR: SN669920
| Proceed up the signposted path for about ten minutes, approximately 200 yards. The path follows a zig sag course and it is not particularly steep except at the turning points where the surface can also be loose. The main test with the constructed path is the number of tree roots across it, tending to trip the unwary. Though the surface is well below the standard of the previous part of the walk it should not be much of a problem to a normal as distinct from a casual walker who is not well shod.. After a short while you will emerge onto an old track.(map and leg end positions in Nature Reserve are diagrammatic owing to lack of formal survey data) |

| Turn right on to the downhill path and after five minutes you will arrive at a T junction with another path. (map and leg end positions in Nature Reserve are diagrammatic owing to lack of formal survey data) |
